The idea of a boutique in downtown Marquette began as a casual idea with a group of friends. Before you knew it, Mary's Closet had taken on a life of its own. From concept to realization, Mary's Closet has been a circle of connections and community.
Calling upon a wide sphere of creative human resources, the pieces came together and the doors opened in November 2007.
Proprietor, Mary O'Donnell, continues to generate an environment in which employees and guests alike feel an ownership of the experience. They play together in a joyful atmosphere of trendy clothes, great music, and evening events.
You may browse peacefully or utilize the highly qualified specialists for wardrobe consulting. Customers receive a one-time complimentary 1-hour appointment to bring in current or next season pieces from their own closets for advice on fit, color, and style. Additional appointments are available for purchase.
THURSDAY EVENING Special Events! From the beginning, Mary said "My Store is Your Store! Let's make this a gathering place!" And thus was born the Thursday "event" night. They are not to be missed! The year began with a premier poetry reading by Helen Haskell Remien from her new book, Wild Ground. [Her book is on sale in the store.] Other events have included Silpada jewelry with Susie McBride, Arbonne Swiss Skin Care with Diane Phillips, and NIA with Loren Tucker. A regular feature is Diane Tonella, Fashion Consultant, presenting the Weekender line of clothing.
Mary's Closet is about YOU! Please stop in!
